November 2007 Diary!!! (upload rest of pics later)

1st November

Today there was no school (some kind of festivitie), so me and a couple of friends decided that we should go to Tokyo Disneyland and spend the whole day there. We went in a group of 6 people 3 girls and 3 guys. Of course this was a chance to go on a tripple date XD!!!

2nd November

Nothing much happened today besides going to soccer practise ("bukatsu") because I was so tired from Disneyland.

Today was another bukatsu day but don't get me wrong I had a blast since we had a match outside of our school ("YAY for travelling!!!").

Today I had morning soccer practice and we finished earlier to have a reunion because some club members didn’t do what they were supposed to ("troube...").

Today there was a meeting between us 2^nd year students for the school trip. Everyone got divided into groups to help decide on stuff to do in Korea and what presents to give to our sister school mates from Korea.

8th November

Normal school day...After I went out with some friends from my Korean class to decide on how tomorrow’s trip to takao zan will be.

9th November

Went to Takao zan with my sensei and Korean class friends!!! It was so great to climb up to the top and spend the whole day with everyone.

(Arriving in Takao Zan by train...it took us 2 to 3 hours to get there!!)

Today I went to Ueno shopping for winter clothes since Korea is going to be really cold. I went with Angie from school. We went to Ueno also because I needed to know how to get to Narita from there.

My soccer team and I had our last game in the private league we were playing, this because we lost.

I had school till lunchtime and then I came home right after to pack my stuff for the school trip to Korea.

I had my school trip to Korea as all the 2^nd year’s too. It was just another amazing experience with amazing memories.

I went to Tokyo tower with my host mother. On the next day I went to Ginza to do some shopping as well as visit the famous brand towers and eat expensive sweet stuff.

Omg i need to update this at least to tell how everything ended...i know it has been over a year since i came back though-_-'...

The problem was that on the last two months of the proggramme i didn't write my monthly diary properly!!

well i'll post the rest of the photos and tell you some of my most unforgetable memories!!!

1st October

Today was a holiday so there was no school. Nothing much today either.

2nd and 3rd October

Normal school days stuff. Met a lot of new people in school especially 2nd years “ninensei” and I’m also making plans to go out with some friends after exams which are in couple of weeks time.

4th October

After school I met with Angelique a friend from school also a ninensei. She is a half Philippino half Japanese from E gumi “class”. We went to Shibuya to take purikura, do karaoke and just hang out and talk.

It was such a fun day after school.

5th October

Today after school started to search for a club “bukatsu” to join since I don’t like going home directly after school. So I stayed in school after classes to see what activities the clubs were doing.
After that I just went home.

6th October

Since it was Saturday I just woke up bout 10 am.
At about 6 pm me, Mami san and Tamao went by train to Akihabara. All of this because I needed to buy a translator “denshijisho”. It wasn’t the first time I had gone there so I wasn’t really surprised by how many people there were (lots of couples and otaku’s “nerds interested in manga and anime”). Everything in Akihabara is huge and high tech.
Since it was late when we were done with shopping we just went to the last floor of Yodobashi Camera and went to an Italian restaurant.
We had pasta, pizza and cake which was delicious. The strawberry short cake that i ate had a perfect taste and look "heaven".

After dinner Mami san was very kind. She bought me another slice of a cake i wanted to try and we brought it home.

7th and 8th October

Mostly rested on these days and on Monday night we went out to have Sushi and Sashimi.

I just love Sashimi and my favourite is salmon sashimi.

9th October

In the morning I had breakfast near school with Angie and her boyfriend. After school I decided to join the girl’s soccer club. I had to ask the president which was Itsumi Miwa from my class (I already knew her well), so everything went smoothly and I attended practice on that day. It was hilarious, I had so much fun since everyone was in a genkii “good” mood and so was I. It’s kind off difficult to get the explanations from the coach but that’s why it makes it more fun because they try hard to explain it to me and so I always say that I understand and even if I don’t I try to get it done with my team mates.

After that I just went home with friends from soccer bukatsu “club”.

10th October

I don’t go to school alone anymore I meet up with friends in Shibuya station or at Komaba station (station near school). Today I met up with Angie in Shibuya and then we went to school. I had bukatsu again today, so my days are starting to become more active and I am having more fun. I have bukatsu almost everyday even on weekends it’s quite tiring. I got home later today since I took the wrong train, I just hate when that happens which means time lost.

11th October

I was feeling very hot today so before bukatsu I went to nurse’s office to check my temperature and as I thought I had a temperature but since I just had joined the soccer team a few days ago I didn’t want to miss practice so I just did my best. After that I was feeling really bad that my team mates sent me to the nurse’s office just before I went home.

My fever got so bad that everyone was looking after me on the way to shibuya after that they wanted to accompany me home from Shibuya but I was actually feeling bit better so I didn’t want to bother them so I went home by myself.

When I got home my fever had gone down a lot and but still Mami san was worryed and made ramen for me. It’s so yummy.

Then had a bath and went to bed as early as I could.

12th October

In the morning I was really feeling worse and my fever was very high so Mami san said that I shouldn’t go to school on that day and I just stayed home and slept all day long by the end of the day I was in perfect condition.

13th October

Waked up early because had soccer shiai “game” and practice against daigaku no sempais “university students” and chogaku no kohais “junior highschool students” we had 4 games, 2 vs chogakusei 1 vs daigakusei and one last one our team only members. I went home at about 5 pm.

After school and after some chatting with a big group of friends from class and other classes some of us went to Shibuya to hang out. Me, Kyo, Angie and more friends of theirs went to play billiards and do karaoke. After that fun full time we went hom.

22nd October

Took some pictures with one of our home teachers and everyone said goodbye to him since was going back to university because he was doing some kind of trial study in our school.
After school stayed with Harimoto “Hari”, Saki, Ema and Mami in a room next to our classroom to do some studying for this weeks’ test we ended up having fun too besides studying.

23rd October

24th October

Exams started today I had my 1st exam today which was English Understanding. About lunch time I went with kyo, Natsuho and Angie to get some lunch at MacDonald’s and then we rushed back to school to have some maths explanations with other classmates and friends before tomorrow’s test. After that me Angie and Natsuho went to Harajuko’s park to relax a bit. I tried this green tea ice cream but it was funny for me because it tasted like bread and butter although i kinda liked it.

We met some fun people at the park and had lots of fun before going home.

25th October

Had my maths exam it was kind of easy.

Then me Angie, Kyo and Maffy went to Shibuya to have some lunch. It was still early but everyone was just so hungry that we started eating at 11:30 am we went to a curry house it was so good plus i asked for i mild curry OMG talk about getting my mouth burnt like hell.

At about 12:30pm pm I had to catch and change from various trains to go to Yokohama this because i had to get a re-entry visa to go to Korea with the 2nd year's as a school trip.

I’m really bad at finding places because I get lost easily so my good friend Angie came with me half way and the made sure I was on the right train to get there and then she had to leave me so i sayed bye "oh yea we already sayed bye with two kisses on the cheeks because she also does that in the phillipines so no problem" and then went on my way.

I got to Yokohama's train station and then I didn’t know where the immigration office was so I did a lot of walking and asked a whole bunch of people where it was, weird most people didn't know for sure or couldn't explain in a way i could understand "basic japanese".

I got myself in a big adventure of more and less of 2 hours lost in Yokohama before I got near I asked an old lady and she was so kind as to take some time off of what she was doing me and went to ask a hotel manager to explain the directions to me and so I went almost there I still asked one last person and so I was lucky he was also looking for it and we both found it at the same time.

It was 3pm when I got to the immigration office but it would closing at 4pm so I had to hurry. I got my re-entry visa after that I still had to find my way back home which was surprisingly easy but I got so tired of being lost that day.

Finally I got home and had a nap had dinner and went straight to bed just to tired to even turn on my portable.

26th October

Had English expression exam which was really easy and then ate my obento and went with Angie and her friend to hang in Shibuya. I bought earings and got 2 piercings done since the ones I had before had closed.
I stayed in Shibuya because my soccer club team mates prepared a welcome party for me.

The party was in some restaurant in Shibuya it was so much fun and the food was delicious.

I ate “shabu shabu” it's like a hot water pot and you cook everything there by using your chopsticks to move the food back in forth to cook.

After that we all talked a lot on our way to the train stations but had to run to buy big umbrella's because it started to rain.

Then all of us went home.

27th and 28th October

Received my tests back during classes had good results but not 100 percent dam. If i did the principal would had given me something to commend the excellent results XP.

Well we didn’t do much this day it was mostly rest.

2nd September

I went to see the kids baseball game met their friends and family and had lunch together. After that me and Sayo went to “Kodomo bunka centre” on our way home and the most amusing of it all is that I met some people my age that lived near my house it was so amusing trying to speak in Japanese and trying to understand what they were saying. When we got home I asked the family for some help with my introductory speech for school since I wanted it all to be in Japanese, although it could also be done in English.

3rd September

Well I got up early and head Japanese style breakfast for the first time it was a bit awkward since it seems too heavy for the stomach but actually is what u should do everyday. Then me and Mami-san left for Kokusai high school when we got there I went directly to the “Kokusai bu (room)” and was told that me and Danieru-kun (other Ryuugakusei)where the only ones doing the speech in front of the hole school that sure made me even more nervous then I already was. After that we all went to the school gym where everyone was waiting for us to arrive. Just after the Principal’s and Danieru’s speech it was my turn…I took a deep breath and then went on stage I could hear then calling me “kawaii”(cute) and “kirei” (beautiful)which made me blush through the hole speech and after. Despite what I though was going to happen everything actually went very well, everyone said that my accent was just like a Japanese person and that they were so impressed that my Japanese was so good with only one month of lessons. Daniuru kun said after I left the stage that my face was all red which was funny and embarrassing at the same time. Last me and Danieru kun were asked to take some pictures by some students we also were asked a lot of questions and they showed us our class which led to more pictures and chats. More less about lunch time me and Mami san left school.

So today was the day I met everyone from my class and some of my teachers. It was such a fun day being the centre of attention and being a bit lost in school since it’s really big compared to my school back home. I met tons of people from school and got some emails.

6th September

I had no school so I went to spend the day with a friend of the family. We went to Shibuya by train had lunch in a restaurant (I had this delicious cury…), after lunch we walked to Harajuku and went to the see The shrine it was so big and so beautiful I was amazed. Next since we were in Harajuku we couldn’t miss the chance to do some shopping and checking out some weird Harajuku trends and people it was hilarious and amusing.

Went to school and stayed late every day to help with preparations for the school festival. On the 14th went Karaoke with some class mates after school (Ryoko and Anne).


15th September

Went to school even today to make last preparations for the school festival, also went to see some of my friends bands rehearse “sugoi naa” it was amazing but after the last of my friends band I wasn’t feeling very well and almost fainted, if my friends weren’t there probably I would have. They took me to the infirmary and then my home room teacher (Nagai sensei) took me home since I wasn’t in a state to go home by myself since I had a fever. Anyway I was better when I got home.


16th and 17th September

The days of the school Festival it was just so unbelievable to see so many people gathering, working and being happy. Me and my classmates all had shifts to stay and work on our classroom. Our theme was “Parque del amigo” which is Spanish for Friend’s Park it was mini game stands. Even helping out was so much fun plus Nagai sensei gave me our class T-Shirt which I were when it was my shift. Also after the 1st day I went with a friend from class “Anne Yano” to the hairdresser and curled my hair.
Apart from the shifts I also went to see a lot of plays, my friends bands and some other classes stuff like haunted room’s of the “sannensei” (3rd year) and “ichinensei” (1st year). It was really scary the 3rd years one and me and my friends screamed a lot. We also took many pictures but there is this one picture that is funny since it was a theme dressing up game in one class. As last day ended we were already cleaning up what we could since the next day would just be cleaning up day. After that everyone went home from all the tiredness.

School assembly in the morning and then went shopping with a friend and classmate (Ema Tanaka) after some shopping we had lunch and then I went home. One last thing this photo was taken in Shibuya this store is so colourful that when you walk near it you can't miss it things in japan are either too hidden or too out there!
